Understanding Contemporary Digital Habits, Behavior and Digital Addiction Interventions : A Meta Analysis
DescriptionThis study delves into the increasing concerns surrounding digital device usage, including internet addiction and problematic phone usage, which have garnered significant traction in recent years. While awareness of the detrimental effects of excessive digital device use has increased, practical strategies for managing this dependency still need to be discovered. Existing literature overwhelmingly advocates for complete abstinence from digital devices, yet there needs to be more research into balanced approaches or interventions promoting intentional usage. Digital addictions often stem from underlying issues, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of digital habits and the development of holistic procedures for digital wellbeing. This study addresses these gaps by analyzing current literature, probing into the challenges of distancing oneself from digital devices, and examining the work on balanced policies for digital wellbeing. By pinpointing gaps in interventional methodology and unraveling digital behavior and dependency, it offers guidance for future research in these critical areas.
