48. To Fly or Not to Fly: A Statistical Analysis of Risks Associated With Helicopter Air Medical Evacuation
SessionPoster Session 1
DescriptionThe purpose of this work is to better understand occurrences of helicopter-related aeromedical accidents through two types of data analyses. The first objective of this work is to use descriptive statistics to identify trends in the NTSB occurrence data (e.g., location, year, etc.). The second objective of this work is to identify the likelihood of certain outcomes (e.g., plane damage, injuries, etc.) based on identified flight variables (e.g., weather condition, location, etc.).
