Biography
David Prendez is a PhD student in the Industrial & Systems Engineering department at the University of Washington. His research is focused on human behavior and driver monitoring strategies in the context of automated driving systems (ADS). Some of his past work has looked at speeding behavior, operator ergonomics, and human-machine interface design. Prior to attending the University of Washington for graduate school, David was a Human Factors Engineer/Researcher at Battelle Memorial Institute where he worked on several research projects for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Federal Highway Administration.
