Biography
David Newton is an Engineering Research Psychologist with the Aerospace Human Factors Research Division of the FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute and is also a doctoral candidate in the Human Factors Psychology Ph.D. Program at Texas Tech University. At the FAA, David investigates emerging operational concepts in the flight deck, including the use of Head-Up Displays, Head-Worn Displays, Enhanced Vision Systems, and laser eye protection, with the goal of quantifying the impacts of these technologies on flight crew performance and aviation safety. David holds a M.A. in Experimental Psychology – Human Factors from Texas Tech University and a B.A in Psychology from Westminster College (MO).
