Yili Liu
Biography
Yili Liu is Director of Center of Ergonomics and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor at the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His areas of research and teaching include cognitive human factors, computational cognitive modeling, human-computer interaction (HCI), aesthetics and cultural ergonomics. He has published numerous refereed journal articles in Psychological Review, IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, Human Factors, Ergonomics, as well as several other journals. He is a coauthor of all the three editions of a widely-adopted human factors textbook titled An Introduction to Human Factors Engineering. He is a recipient of more than a dozen teaching and education awards, at the Department, College, and University levels. He holds multiple World Records in international travel including a Guinness World Record.
