Biography
I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in systems design engineering at the University of Waterloo, where I conduct research at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction and Human Factors with a focus on Virtual Reality applications in Telemedicine. My research is driven by a commitment to enhance telemedicine solutions, with the aim of improving accessibility to healthcare services especially for remote and underserved communities. By exploring the capabilities of Virtual Reality, I study how these alternative platforms can overcome existing barriers in healthcare delivery, particularly in low-resource environments. The primary goal is to leverage Virtual Reality’s immersive capabilities to facilitate broader access to remote healthcare services, consequently addressing the critical gaps in global health equity.
