Bradley Fain
Biography
Dr. Fain’s research programs, based on usability, accessibility, and human factors research have had a far-reaching impact on improving the human condition, ranging from the design of fixed and rotary wing crew interfaces to applied research in the field of accessible design. In addition to currently serving as Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Communications Policy (CACP) in the Ivan Allen College, Dr. Fain is the Director of Georgia Tech’s HomeLab research initiative and serves as a project director for several programs in GTRI. He leads a team of researchers who are pioneering research into issues and products design to assist with successful aging in place. Previously, he led GTRI research into the Rapid Equipping Force’s (REF) blast data analysis project which developed new techniques and algorithms to support the analysis of improvised explosive device (IED) blast data, which potentially saves lives of soldiers in combat zones.
