Biography
Dr. Pratima Saravanan is an Assistant Professor at the School of Industrial Engineering and Management at Oklahoma State University. She held concurrent appointments as a Postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Health Data Science and Analytics at the Houston Methodist Hospital (2021-2023) and as a Lecturer at Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University (2022-2023). Dr. Saravanan received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Human Factors at The Pennsylvania State University in 2021. She earned master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering (2020) and Bioengineering (2018) at The Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (2015) from PSG College of Technology, India. Dr. Saravanan’s research interests include cognitive sciences, human factors in healthcare, and clinical decision-making. She is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
