Isabel Erickson
Biography
Ms. Isabel Erickson, Associate Research Engineer, Aptima, Inc. serves as a human factors engineer, data scientist, biomedical engineer, and project manager at Aptima. She uses her unique combination of skills to bridge the gap between deeply technical experts, business leaders, designers, and end users themselves. She has experience in statistical modeling, data visualization, human-centered design, physiological signals, and biomechanics/ergonomics through projects ranging from gait training systems, cognitive assistants for UAV operators, and VR training systems for Navy pilots. She also brings knowledge of design control of highly regulated systems such as medical devices with software, mechanical, and electrical components through her three years of experience at Medtronic and GE Healthcare. Ms. Erickson is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and received an MS in industrial and systems engineering and BS in biomedical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
