Elizabeth Veinott
Biography
Elizabeth Veinott, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Psychology and Human Factors department and computer science (by courtesy) at Michigan Technological University where she leads the Games, Learning and Decision lab. Dr. Veinott directs the Human-Centered Computing group at Michigan Tech’s Institute for Computing and Cybersystems and was previously a Principal Scientist at ARA, Inc. after starting her career as a contractor at NASA Ames Research Center. She studies how individuals and teams collaborate and make decisions that impact performance in a variety of operational contexts such as military, driving, and Esports. The goal is to improve decision behavior using evidence-based approaches through new strategies, new decision technologies, or training. Dr. Veinott has a PhD in cognitive psychology from the University of Michigan.
