Amrita Maguire
Biography
Amrita Maguire is currently a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Dell Technologies. Her area of expertise is in human-centric design. She works on providing design insights and specifications for Dell's Enterprise Data Center products, rugged laptops, and other business-related projects. Before joining Dell, Amrita worked for 11 years at General Motors as a Platform Lead Ergonomist. Her focus was on implementing ergonomic solutions for assembly plant workers. She was a part of the Full-Size Trucks and Cadillac ATS vehicle design, integration, and launch teams across seven plants in North America. Amrita has 9 filed patents (pending) and 2 granted patents to her name and has co-authored nine publications in the Proceedings of HFES, ASME, and the Journal of Artificial Internal Organs.
Amrita is the current HFES Usability and System Evaluation TG Chair, Program Chair-Elect of the (recently chartered) Sustainability TG, and volunteers with the HFES BIPOC group. She also serves on the ANSI/HFES 100 standards committee.
