Michael Schober is a Professor of Psychology at The New School and faculty lead of The New School for Social Research's graduate Applied Psychology and Design track, which connect with and builds on coursework and expertise at The New School's Parsons School of Design. His research focuses on conceptual misalignments and misunderstanding in different arenas of interaction (e.g., survey interviews, collaborative musical performances, human-computer interaction), how are we affected by the new modes of interaction that we can now choose and switch between, and on how the digital and physical traces that people leave in the world complement what we learn from studying people's behavior and self-reports more directly.
