Biography
Braden Westby is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Iowa State University. They graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in biomedical engineering from Iowa State University in 2022. Braden currently works in the ATHENA Lab as a graduate research assistant with a focus on the area of Human Performance. Specific projects include work in biosignal interpretation, sociology, forensics, aviation, roofing, and biomechanics, among others. While there are a lot of topics there, Braden also is very interested in active exoskeleton systems and accessibility engineering.
