Biography
Prof. Szonya Durant has research that spans over a range of areas in human visual perception incorporating computational modelling, eye tracking studies, psychophysics and virtual reality technology. Her background is in Mathematics, she holds a PhD from University College London and at Royal Holloway she is Professor in the Dept. of Psychology, where she is the founder and director of the Virtual Reality lab and the MSc in Applied Neuroscience. Her recent line of research involves the use of AI techniques for interpreting eye tracking data and considering user interface development as well as attention guidance across 3D space in virtual reality.
