Justin Mason, PhD, is a Research Scientist in the Driving Safety Research Institute at the University of Iowa. His current research focuses to disentangle drowsy driving from distracted driving, explore the unintended consequences of electric vehicles, validate measurement tools to assess drivers’ understanding of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and develop a framework for ADAS consumer education. He is chair of the HFES Surface Transportation Technical Group.
