Amirmasoud Momenipour
Biography
Dr. Amir Momenipour is an Assistant Professor of Engineering Management at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) in Terre Haute, Indiana. With three years of industry experience, he has contributed to and led several projects in industrial and systems engineering. As an educator at RHIT, Dr. Momenipour teaches several industrial engineering courses including human factors, user experience research, work analysis and design, and management information systems to graduate and undergraduate students. His studies in engineering education emphasized the integration of the Entrepreneurial Mindset (EM) in the development of industrial and systems engineering, as well as human factors and ergonomics pedagogies. His recent research focuses on fostering a human-centered design mindset among engineering students through the adoption of EM principles. Dr. Momenipour earned his doctoral degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Iowa. He is a member of IISE, HFES, ASEE, and Engineering Unleashed. He has actively contributed to several engineering education initiatives. Within HFES, he has served in two technical groups: the Usability and System Evaluation technical group (program chair-elect) and the Engineering Education technical group (secretary). Currently, he serves as the President-Elect of SEMS in IISE.
