Biography
Cécile Lescieux, a doctoral candidate specializing in human factors in aviation at Polytechnique Montreal, embarked on her academic journey by earning a degree in psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology after three years of study at the University of Bordeaux in France. She then pursued a master's degree in cognitive ergonomics and psychology. Her passion for understanding human cognition and behavior led her to conduct an in-depth analysis of the cognitive tasks of traffic managers and air traffic controllers, with the aim of providing recommendations for displays to enhance their situational awareness. Today, her research focus lies in examining the impact of Trajectory Based Operations (TBO), particularly the management of time constraints, on pilots' activities. Her ultimate goal is to develop future displays that will support pilots in navigating effectively in a future traffic environment. With her interdisciplinary background spanning psychology, cognitive ergonomics, and aviation, Cécile is dedicated to advancing safety and efficiency in aviation through her research endeavors.
