Michael Byrne
Biography
Michael Byrne, Ph.D. is a Professor in the departments of Psychological Sciences and Computer Science at Rice University. His primary research interests are computational modeling of human performance and usability of voting systems. He served as a pro bono consultant for Los Angeles County in the development of the VSAP voting system. He is a Fellow of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Psychonomic Society, and the Association for Psychological Science as well as a 2020 HFES Science Policy Fellow and a recipient of the HFES Jack Kraft Innovator award.
