Abhraneil Dam
Biography
Abhraneil is a fourth-year PhD student in the human factors track at the ISE department at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, USA. He is currently leading multiple research projects including acoustic situation awareness with personal listening devices for pedestrians using a virtual environment, mitigation techniques for motion sickness in automated vehicles, audio augmented reality theories and applications, and multi-modal warning systems for railroad crossings. Abhraneil has a master's degree in Automotive Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. After his PhD, he hopes to join an R1 university as an assistant professor.
