Giovani Diaz Alfaro
Biography
Giovani Diaz Alfaro is a M.S. student in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Central Florida, concentrating on Ethics and Cognitive Systems. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a Minor in Cognitive Sciences. His current research focuses on human-machine teaming as a method of human enhancement, and his work in the lab looks at topics such as reducing the cognitive workload of FVL pilots and team functioning for future space missions. His interests lie more generally in moral cognition and the ethics of artificial intelligence, and outside of academics he enjoys exploring philosophy of life and critical pedagogy.
