SUMMARY:101. Toward Real-Time Intervention for Enhancing Multitasking Perf
 ormance: A Scoping Review
DESCRIPTION:Poster\n\nJi-Eun Kim, Zefeng Chen, Karine Suryatna, and Alexan
der Billesberger (University of Washington)\n\nThis research aims to revie
w recent trends in types of interventions designed to enhance multitasking
performance. Multitasking, the capability to manage the demand of two or
more tasks simultaneously (Kudesia et al., 2022), is integral to numerous
professional and everyday scenarios. As multitasking is one of the common
and leading work environments that impede cognitive performance, it is cri
tical to monitor, predict, and enhance multitasking performance in a timel
y manner, given its impact on operators’ safety, productivity, and job sat
isfaction. Various strategies, including cognitive training, automation, a
nd warning systems received attention to overcome the limited multitasking
capacity. However, little information exists regarding how the various ty
pes of strategies impact different application systems that require multit
asking. We aim to explore the extent of existing research on strategies ac
ross various work systems to enhance multitasking performance and find gap
s toward guiding effective intervention designs.\n\nTrack: Aerospace Syste
